OmniDate Virtual Dating

We’ve got a couple new big players on the field: Vivaty and Google’s Lively. What makes these virtual worlds different is that they can be accessed from other sites - very cool!

My guess is, there are very few implications for online dating in the short run, other than increased awareness of the “virtual dating” concept. However down the road, we will likely see many new exciting online dating applications.

Admittedly, it’s hard to predict what online dating is going to look like a couple of years from now.  But, I bet it’s going to look a lot different than it does today. I envision much more virtual interactivity and online entertainment!  A big database of users with advanced search capability will not cut it - people will expect much more!

Can wait to see the future of online dating!
