Virtual Dating Removes Barriers to First Date
Here’s a great post by Matthew, a news writer for Geek.com: OmniDate to replace real first date with virtual one.
Matthew correctly describes the objective of virtual dating: “… to try and remove some of the barriers to going on a first date. Their idea is simple. Replace the first real date with a virtual one … [from] the safety of your own home.”
He also astutely concludes: “Taking the step from chatting to someone you like to actually meeting them online is always going to be a scary one and rightly everyone is cautious. This new service won’t solve that problem, but it should build a bit more confidence before deciding to meet in person.”
Well said, Matthew!
