Try These Strategies for Your Site:

  • Drive registrations by offering visitors to connect on a virtual date immediately and, thus, cater to Internet users' desire for instant gratification. Display a partial list of online members and a call to action: "Go on a virtual date now." When visitors click on the offer, have them register a short profile and then direct them to the page where they can invite other members on a virtual date.
  • Try a similar strategy to boost upgrades to Premium Membership. Allow your Premium Member to invite any member on a virtual date, but restrict regular (free) members to only receiving invitations. Consider offering your regular members to unlimited use of virtual dating for 30 days or gifting them “virtual dating” credits to use when they first start - it's a great way to get them hooked on your site before you ask them to upgrade!
  • Improve your retention rate by making virtual dating easy and exciting. On every page of your site, display a short list of members who are available to date now. Clicking on the "Date Now" link will send a date invitation. Further, by rotating members every 5-10 seconds, you will create an added sense of excitement and urgency. (You can also provide a link to a complete list of members "Who are available to Date Now.") Active members retain their membership longer.
